Summary
When you submit a photo, biography, credentials, or any other content as part of your speaker application or profile, you are granting HIKE with Her, LLC permission to publish, display, edit, and use that content to operate and promote the Women of Spokane speaker roster.
01 — What this policy covers
This Content & Photo Submission Policy governs all content submitted to Women of Spokane (womenofspokane.com), a platform owned and operated by HIKE with Her, LLC, based in Spokane, Washington.
This Policy applies to any content submitted in connection with a speaker application or active listing, including: headshots and professional photographs, biographical statements and speaker bios, credential information and educational history, talk titles and descriptions, testimonials and event history, video reels and links, and any other content submitted via the application form or provided directly to us.
By submitting any content to Women of Spokane you agree to the terms of this Policy.
02 — The license you grant us
When you submit content to Women of Spokane, you grant HIKE with Her, LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, display, publish, distribute, adapt, and promote that content for any purpose related to the operation and promotion of the Women of Spokane platform and HIKE with Her, LLC.
This includes use on the Women of Spokane website, in social media posts promoting the roster or your listing, in email newsletters and marketing campaigns, in press materials and partner communications, and in any other context where we are promoting the platform or its speakers.
We will always represent you accurately and professionally. We will not use your content in a way that is misleading, defamatory, or inconsistent with your professional identity.
You retain all ownership rights to your content. You are granting us permission to use it — not transferring ownership.
03 — Our right to edit submitted content
To maintain a consistent, high-quality standard across all speaker profiles, we reserve the right to edit submitted content without prior notice or approval. This may include editing biographical statements for length, clarity, grammar, or tone; cropping or resizing photographs for display; reformatting credential lists or talk descriptions for visual consistency; and updating information based on verification findings.
We will not materially misrepresent your credentials, experience, or professional identity. If you believe an edit has misrepresented you in a material way, contact us and we will work to resolve it promptly.
04 — Your responsibility for submitted content
By submitting content, you represent and warrant that you are the owner of the submitted content or have full rights to submit it; your content is accurate, current, and not misleading; your content does not infringe on the rights of any third party; you have the right to submit any photographs included, including those taken by a third-party photographer; and your credentials and professional history are accurately represented.
Submitting false, misleading, or infringing content is grounds for immediate removal from the roster.
05 — Content removal & delisting
If you are removed from the Women of Spokane roster — whether at your request, at our discretion, or due to a policy violation — we will remove your profile content from the platform within 30 days of the removal decision.
Content shared or distributed prior to removal (such as social media posts) may remain accessible in those external locations and is outside our control to fully retract. Removal from the roster does not terminate rights granted under this Policy with respect to content already published prior to removal.
To request removal, contact us with your name and the reason for your request.
06 — Photo rights & photographer credit
If your submitted headshot was taken by a professional photographer, it is your responsibility to ensure you have the appropriate license or permission to submit it for the uses described in this Policy. We are not liable for any claims arising from your submission of a photograph for which you do not hold appropriate rights.
If your licensing agreement requires a photographer credit line, notify us at the time of submission and we will accommodate this where feasible.
07 — No guarantee of listing or continued listing
Submission of an application does not guarantee a listing. All applications are subject to our vetting review. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason and to remove, suspend, or modify any listing at our discretion.
08 — Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent update. Continued maintenance of an active listing after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
